Hi, I'm Laura. 

There's too much noise. Too many feeds. Too much marketing done out of obligation — and it stinks a mile off.

Not enough clarity. Not enough founders who actually sound like themselves.

I've lived a few different lives — dancer, PT, marketer, mother, now founder — every one viscerally human, every one about reading the person in front of you. When did we forget we're humans?

So that's my job. I'm a strategist, but not the kind who hands you a deck and a list of 'shoulds'. I help founder-led businesses reconnect what they value, what they stand for, and what their audience actually needs — and turn it into strategy that's commercially sharp, deeply human and unmistakably yours.

In other words: I unbox the founder to unbox the business.

Why I built this.

I started Connect Studio from a pure desire to build a business on real connection. Working in strategic marketing at EY and Deloitte, I felt like a bird in a gilded cage — the money was good, the work looked impressive, but my creativity was being squashed. 

Then my mum died, suddenly, and I was made redundant in the same stretch. Brutal — but push I needed. If not now, when?

So I'm not watching from the shore. I'm in the water — branding, rebranding, stretching and rehabbing my business as I go. Not always clean or right, but it moves. And I'm doing it out loud, through The Yard, so you can watch the work actually work.

Beyond Connect Studio.

I'm building The Yard — a third space for working, moving and belonging, unfiltered. What Connect Studio is to businesses, but for humans tired of editing themselves. Piloting now in Horsham.

And I write Gravel Notes — a fortnightly letter from inside both builds.

Otherwise: a wild young family, adventures, too much ice cream, and the hunt for a really great coffee.
